back from taiwan (part two)

FIFTH DAY

Went to 佛光山 in the morning!

Then to 梦时代广场 .. i admit that it's huge. But the prices of the stuff there arent exactly that cheap either. Something like Robinsons in Singapore. However, some of the clothes are nice still!

Ate at the Jap restaurant there..

Next stop: 高雄85大楼
This is what i took in the lift. The ceiling changes as we proceed up to the 75th floor!

Nice right!! like some viewing some galaxy. :)

The view from the 75th floor:

Did not go up to the 85th floor as we would need to pay if we wanted to.

A lot of mountains in Taiwan..

A random picture of a painting there:

Next Stop: 高雄爱河

Up to now, i still dont get why it's called "ai he" ..

Looks like Boat Quay in Singapore.

But the view's rather great.

There were fishes in the river! Many still!

Reached our hotel, getting ready to go 六和夜市

Was figuring how we could get to 新掘疆 (nt sure of the exact characters)
But yea, we had to take taxi if we wanted to go Xin Jue Jiang.
Heard there's places to shop there, that's why i wanted to go ha ha.

Liu He Ye Shi:

And i tried 臭豆腐!

It's not that bad you know. The smell's not as exaggerated like what people always say.
It does not stink and it's pretty good!
Just that the beancurd tastes more.. umm.. "fermented'??

whee! Chou Dou Fu! :DD
Oh and Michelle called Mum while we were at XinJueJiang.
Thought i heard it wrongly when she said there was a call from Michelle.
haha.

SIXTH DAY

What i took in our hotel room:

the day lits up very early in the morning in Taiwan..
It was only 6.40a.m. when i took this!

Where we had our breakfast!

My Dad..

Mum wanted me to take this:

heh.

Getting ready for the day!

Very cold!

At 日夜潭, Sun Moon Lake.

Honestly speaking, it's really just, a lake..

And they did not even bring us to a spot where we could take a picture of the lake.

Look at the mountains behind!

Introduced us to buy Honey and all that again. Royal jelly too. Which also cost a lot..

So instead, we chose to take pictures outside. ha ha ha.

Okay, i was eating something..

Having reached 九族文化村:

In the cable car!

The view below:

Oh and i went up the UFO ride.
You know the one that goes up very high and drops down in a few mere seconds???

YES
It's that one. Went up alone haha. Up to now i still ask myself, 'how did i even dare to go up?'.
I'm not regretting, as it's still very... um.. exciting.
Have u ever felt that you do not have enough voice to scream?
Yes, it felt like that.

Got up the monorail so that four of us could get a ride on it.
Followed by pirate ship.
I am really grateful to my dad because he went up with Mum and i even though he was a bit scared..
He's already in his fifties and yet he accompanied us..
It's just.. yeah..

We went up the carousel too!

Mum and Dayi:

Daddy!

Mum and i went to the Space Station ride following that.
Wapiang. really relieved that it was pitched black inside.
The turns were terrible.
Good thing that Mum and i could share a seat, with her just right behind me!
Phew.
Oh! And you could see lavendar flowers there!

Yupp. And there was the smell as well.

Did not send the pictures from Dad's phone so no photos for the lavendar.
It looked like some huge mansion there.
Like you know DaoMingSi's house?
Yea, something like that.
Went 逢甲夜市 . By then my teeth were really clattering. It was nice of the tour guide to arrange a steamboat dinner for us!

Finally found some tops i like and bought them! That makes me a happy girl! :D

SEVENTH DAY

As you can see, it's 城隍庙

We tried 贡丸s there. Taste like larger-sized meatballs!

Some shops there..

Both of us looked a little tired yah?

GRAND FINALE: we were staying in Grand Hyatt next to Taipei 101!!!

But you have to pay if you want to get past the fifth floor.
And up to 89th floor, u have to pay again if u want to get up to the 101th floor.
We went to 五分埔 first. The things there were really cheaper than the past few places that we went. It's known for it's 批发价 . Bought some stuff there again and headed to Taipei 101 as both places close at 10!!!

Did not go up though, cos it's quite ex and the place was closing already by the time we reached there..

Oh yeah, not to forget that we went 士林夜市 too. IT WAS EXTREMELY CROWDED THERE. Even if u did not walk, people would push you till you did. It's to that extent. Serious!

EIGHTH DAY

Grand Hyatt Photos.

Have to admit that the hotel's really grand..

Outside Grand Hyatt..

Taipei 101!

Cow year with cows...

A dumpling cow! Yum!
More pictures from hotel room
More taipei 101 pictures...

The one on the most left is our tour guide, Danny also known as 小刁. The one on the most right is our coach driver! Our tour guide talks a lot, as in he's knowledgeable and tells us a lot of things about taiwan.

More pictures of Taipei before we leave..

Pictures on the coach..

Okay, i admit that i was acting cute.!

On the trip back, i watched 'The Devil Wears Prada'.(Anne Hathaway is really pretty!) And reviewed all the Hsm3 parts with the songs. :X oops. Listened to Taylor Swift's Fearless album too..

Reached Sg and home sweet home..

From the trip i learnt that, electromagnetic waves are all around us, everywhere, even at this moment while i'm using the computer. It poses a threat to every one. That is why many Singaporeans are contracted with cancer. Think about the past, do you see people getting cancer as frequently as compared to now? No. This is because the technology is not that advanced then. So people, use less of those electronic stuff!

Second, eat more Lingzhi! It's good for your health as it helps your liver in passing out toxins from the body. And people who always stay up late and sleep very little, you should seriously stop doing that. Not only are you not giving your body enough rest, you're just plainly doing harm to yourself. Okay maybe some people just have to stay up late till the wee hours due to work etc, but should really give your body enough rest. Reminder: The liver gets its rest at approximately 11pm. That's why humans should really start sleeping at that time or even better, before that..

Thirdly, Honey's good for health! Consume more of honey. But but but, remember that you should never consume honey with warm or hot water. As this will destroy the vitamins and minerals in the honey. Also, NEVER USE METAL utensils to mix and stir the honey! It's the same logic as the hot water thing.

Next, trip to Taiwan also made me a little superstitious. The tour guide really made some stuff sounds true. Anyway, the '重点' is, your name is something really important.

For example right, like my name 陈惠琪 right, (btw u have to use 繁体字, nt 简体字 to calculate this). The first character of your name

You know why? This is because the word '新' has 13 strokes and that is the best strokes a word should have. that's why like in the twelve zodiac, the mouse is the first, as 老鼠 的 ‘鼠’has also thirteen strokes. The best name you can ever have for your child is a name with thirteen strokes like, um '水玲', it's 9 + 4 = 13. 9 and 4 are good number of strokes too. Anyway the surname does not count because it's inherited from your ancestors.

还有,

我真得非常感激我的父母...

because they really dote on me, they bring me overseas, they brought me up, they provide me shelter, food, clothing. Not to mention that they even fork out money to bring me to school. That's why i really feel i am extremely fortunate to have them as my parents. It's just a feeling that cannot expressed in words. Knowing that there's life and death in this world, i really really do not want them to leave.. But this is life, really. I think i've mentioned this before, but im going to say it again, treasure the people around you while u can. Nobody can predict what's going to happen tomorrow.

Getting ready for FOC(Freshmen Orientation Camp) as well that's coming up on 6-8 Apr.

Looks like no SYF for me, again.

Elite Team outing this sunday!

Everytime there is an outing, i feel that i really create problems for the organisers, pointing all the things that is inconvenient for me and stuff. I'm really such a trouble. So i appreciate all your efforts and thank you for your patience and everything..

I mean it.
