3A02 Outing -- Pulau Ubin

P u l a u  U b i n on Tuesday!
We have been talking about this ever since the first class outing!
And it is finally happening!
But I really expected more people to come!
Chalet was the best.

On the bus to Changi Village...!

First time going Pulau Ubin! :)

Class photo at the jetty before we leave!

On the Bumboat @ $2.50!

Bye Singaporeee!

 Back view of the bumboat:

Cool shots:

I like the sky! nice:D

Thanks Brandon for buying insect repellant and plasters! (:
hehe.

 Sparkling Water haha.

Within 10mins or so, we were at Pulau Ubin!

What you can expect to do at Pulau Ubin:
Cycling!

ZJ hurt himself at the start,
and it kinda scared me:/

Luckily the seat was tightened and fixed in the end.

First shot at Pulau Ubin!

Some places at Pulau Ubin are really nice.
They don't look Singapore,
especially the picture taken by Eldred with his iphone.
It looks so unreal!

Everyone enjoying the view.
 And there is echooo~~

 People with caps! (:

 Brandon & Joseph sho sweet.
awww(:

Zhong Guo Ping Guo a.k.a. China Apple!

Huili left in between because she felt that she was a burden:(
but seriously, we did not feel that way!

Anyway, on this day,
I also found out that,
This,
is a Mudkip.

Because hearing its name, I initially though it was this,
A Grimer.

Eldred classmate was totally disappointed with me
and we got super agitated over this.
And he was so persistent in Googling me an image of a Mudkip.
LOL.
& we went on to discuss how Pokemons usually become less cute after they evolved.
E.g.
Char char~~ (high tone!)

Charizarddddd. (low tone:/)

And also how Arbok is a Kobra.
While Ekans is a Snake.
- -"

Butterfree: Freeeeee~~

At least I know what is a Jigglypuff and Clefairy!

But to think of it, I kinda miss Pokemon now.
Catching it every Saturday at 10am (or 10.30?)
And remember that quiz before the advertisement?

Back to the excursion!
After sending Huili to the jetty, we made our way to Chek Jawa!
There was this really nice jetty there too!
The water looks kind unreal!

The above picture is cool because they all appeared to be looking in the same direction.

 Group shots again!:)

Significance of the following pictures:
We wanted to take pictures according to our project groups,
to identify which group had the best/worst attendance!
ZJ's group. LOL.
The picture speaks for itself.

Brandon who was trying to be funny at first,
so I zoomed into his face.

 3/6!

Actually they had 4/6 before Huili left!

Guess who's the next group?
Clues:

 Yup yup!
:)
All different colours! haha.

Eldred the angry boy at it again.

Girls' pic!

Trying to get a guys' pic taken!

 Finally!
&Brandon being extra!

Walking backk!

Goodbye yellow fishies!

While at the 'chalet', some artistic pictures taken!

Pictures found in the Gallery:

And I felt like I was playing PhotoFish on a SonyEricsson phone!
It was so hard to capture the two fishes!

This was the best I could do!

But then again, the tank is quite cool in real life!
There was a deep end, and shallow end!

yep, like that.

Further explored the place!
I should have took pictures of the flight of stairs we climbed to reach the top!
It was sooo tall!
And you could see the gaps in between while climbing.
There is actually a limit of 20 ppl who can be on this tower, like a lift:/

The picture doesn't do justice to the actual place.

Ya, evidence of why we were all so badly burnt.
Middle of the day, still climbed so high,
which shortened the distance between the Sun and us.

Back at the bike shop to return them!

 The After shots!

Conclusion:
1. The bikes are quite lousy:X
Out of 11, 3 had problems.
So for one, bikes must be checked before setting off!
Two, cycling at Pulau Ubin is challenging, so ur bike is really important!
2. Wearing shoes is a must, I feel!
3. Insect Repellent.
Thankyou Brandon for supplying!
I didn't suffer from any bites! :)
4. Most importantly, SUNBLOCK.
By the time we went back, we already had burns.
And now, I have ugly uneven burns.
:(
5. A cap.
Imagine your head under the scorching Sun during the hottest time of the day.
And to protect your face as well!

It is funny how it rained all the days before and after Tuesday.
All except Tuesday.
But it is probably better that way,
or else it would have been tougher if it were to rain while we were cycling.
Imagine: Stuck in the middle of nowhere.

I gave up towards the end,
walked and pushed my bike on every upslope.
:x

And yes, we saw boars?
I think they should be boars,
but they were quite far to be correctly identified to see whether they had horns.
And we saw monkeys too!
And a bird that sounded like monkey :/

I guess that roughly sums it up.
First ever trip at Pulau Ubin!
Apart from the Sun,
I still had fun.
Because I haven't cycled for a really long time!
Felt good to exercise in terms of cycling.
And Dom who asked Joseph to cycle behind me,
& asking me to stop blocking Joseph
--"

End of Pulau Ubin trip!

Thank you! :)
